We are Event Kaboodles LLC, a micro-business serving the Bay Area that rents event equipment for your backyard events and beyond.

We are in Fremont, CA, the happiest city in America, as per the 2025 WalletHub study. We serve pretty much all of the Bay Area, including the East Bay and Tri-Valley.

Believe us, we want to do decor, catering, DJ, bouncy house, interiors, remodelling, run a state, but at this time we are limited to event equipment rentals like chairs, tables, etc.

Think of Event Kaboodles as a Box of all, or most of your event equipment stored at one common place, which you take, use it and return it to use again for your next event. Kaboodles is that Box or storage location that you can select and rent out items from that you need for your event.

A Kaboodles typically has event items like Standard Folding Chairs, Folding Tables, Kids Chairs and Tables, Wedding Chairs and Tables, Pop-up Tents, Electric Patio Heaters, Backdrop and much more for rent. All this event equipment is portable, easy and convenient to haul into your car/truck for your event needs.

We may very well one day, but at this time, Fremont Kaboodle observes certain timings. We are operational from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm daily unless otherwise notified.

We work hard on our online ordering system to ensure you don't have to talk to us, but if needed, we are there to listen and help. Call us at (510)-827-0673.

Every day, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, except when we cannot attend (yes, sometimes we need a break!).

We like emails for sharing order status updates and progress. We don't like calling, but if we do, it would be for some urgent reason.

Orders

Phone order is a thing of the past. Instead, just go to www.eventkaboodles.com and order online. It is really that simple and quick!

Ordering from your account is much faster as it automatically uses stored details to quickly place your order. Plus, ordering through your account may give you some discounts or offers that you may not get when ordering as a guest.

Step 1: Select your Kaboodle (Fremont at this time) along with the event date and duration (in case the event is multi-day). Also, select if you want to self-pick-up/drop off or need delivery.

Step 2: Choose the items you want to rent and add them to your cart.

Step 3: Go to the cart and fill out details as needed.

Step 4: Confirm card details and accept card Authorisation.

Step 5: Place order

For Self Pick-up & Drop-off:

Place Order -> Order Placed -> Order Confirmed -> Preparing the Order -> Order Ready for self Pick-up -> Order Picked-up -> Order Ready for self Drop-off -> Order Self Dropped-off -> Order Complete

For Order Delivery:

Place Order -> Order Placed -> Order Confirmed -> Preparing the Order -> Order Ready for Drop-off -> Order Dropped-off --> Order Ready for Pick-up --> Order Picked-up --> Order Complete.

You would receive an email from eventkaboodles.com about the order status changing from "Order Placed" to "Order Accepted". In case we are unable to confirm the order due to any reason we would update your order to "Order cancelled"

We understand plan changes. We provide great flexibility for any change in plan through our order modification and cancellation options. We have learnt a lot in past years about this business and have defined policies based on our learnings and experience to manage the order, modification and cancellation process which you can also find in our Terms & Conditions.

We acknowledge paying any fee is hard, especially when the plan change all of a sudden. At our end, we have logistics, and planning that gets disrupted. Moreover, when you order we reserve the items for you which makes other customers unable to reserve those items and hence when an order is cancelled it is treated as loss in business. The cancellation fee is only to cover some of these disruptions, losses and to ensure customer just do not reserve the items but also consume it for their needs.


No Worries! As long as an order is not accepted by us, it is considered just "order Placed" which means you can go ahead and cancel the order. Cancellation Policy applies to the orders that are accpeted by us.

The order is marked as completed when:

For Self Pick-up/Drop-off:

All items that were rented out have been dropped-off to the kaboodle used for self pick-up.

For Need Delivery:

All items that were rented out have been picked-up by Event Kaboodle Delivery person from the event place.

Please note that, at the time of self drop-off or delivery pick-up, the items should be in the same form, size, shape and functional condition as were self picked-up or delivered respectively. We inspect each item upon receiving and in case the items are damaged/broken or missing, the order will not be marked as completed and an additional fee would apply for damaged/broken or missing items.

We provide customers to place order 1 year in advance though the "order accept" status may only happen close to the event date at around a month before the event date.

You can order for your needs or for your near and dear ones. In the checkout page, we ask for Host details that you can use to fill on behalf of the person you are booking. This helps us to plan and prepare in advance for such situation where customer is different than the host who uses the items.

Customer Details: One who places the order and pays

Host Details: One who hosts the event and uses event rental items

Note that, in case of delivery option, the delivery person would contact either of customer or host for any need and notification purposes.

Typically, Kaboodle may or may not have any attendant to interact. So, if you are at a kaboodle, it is recommended to place the order online. This helps to keep order process and planning simple.

We can always help with placing the order in case there is someone available at a Kaboodle

Self Pick-up & Drop-off Orders

Self Pick-up & Drop-off is one of the options that we provide our customers to pick-up their order by themselves, use the items and drop-off back at the same kaboodle it was ordered and picked-up from. This is the most cost effective option for any customer as it saves on delivery charges that sometime can be significant savings for an order.

The workflow is explained in "Explain complete ordering workflow" FAQ in Orders category. Here are the high level steps or guidelines to help you understand the process involved,

Self Pick-up:

  • Customers who opt for Self Pick-up & Drop-off option while booking an order also selects their preferred time window for pick-up and drop-off while placing the order.
  • The Kaboodle address is mentioned in the order invoice that the customers get in their email. Customers can come to that Kaboodle at their Pick-up time window.
  • We would also provide customers the garage code prior to their pick-up time window. If they have the garage code received from us, they can use it to open the garage door and pick-up the ordered items.
  • Once customers have picked-up the ordered items, they can close the garage door by themselves to ensure other items are secured and ready for next customer.
  • In case, garage code is not received or available, customers can contact at (510)-827-0673 and notify your presence. We will help to open the garage door for you to pick-up the ordered items. Once you have picked-up your ordered items, we will help to close the garage.

Self Drop-off:

  • Likewise, at the time of drop-off, customers follow the same steps as self pick-up and keep the items back for next customer to use.
  • Customers would receive a new garage code prior to their drop-off time window to self open the garage door.
  • In case garage door code is not received or available customers can contact at (510)-827-0673 and notify your presence. We will help to open the garage door for you to self drop-off the ordered items. Once you have dropped-off your ordered items, we will help to close the garage.

We recommend only customer (who has ordered) or the host (who's details are added to the order) to self pick-up and self drop-off. This is also needed because if we send garage door access code, it will be only sent to the customer & host (if different than customer).

In case someone else is coming to self pick-up and self drop-off the items, please contact (510)-827-0673 and provide details (Vehicle information, License Copy) to help us identify the person. Please understand there is a safety risk involve and thus the person's details will be kept for records.

No, At this time such facility and privilege is unavailable. Our inventory of a kaboodle is its own and It is logistic nightmare for us to handle one kaboodle's inventory going to other.

You can only visit and access a kaboodle from where you place the order and within the self pick-up time window that you selected while placing the order. Going to another kaboodle or coming to the kaboodle outside of your selected self pick-up time window will not get you kaboodle garage access.

Please arrive within you selected self pick-up time window. We cannot guarantee to get you access of our kaboodle outside of the pick-up time window.

Delivery Orders

Needs Delivery is one of the options that we provide our customers in which we deliver and later pick-up the ordered items to and from your event address, respectively. This is an option that gives customer convenience as we understand there is too much going on with your event already and you may not have time/energy/flexibility to self pick-up and self drop-off the ordered items. It is needless to say, it comes with a cost in terms of delivery charges which we auto calculate at the time of placing the order and should be part of the invoice already.

The workflow is explained in "Explain complete ordering workflow" FAQ in Orders category. Here are the high level steps or guidelines to help you understand the process involved,

Needs Delivery:

  • Customers who opt for Needs Delivery option while booking an order also provide their event address.
  • We auto calculate the delivery charges based on several factors (Vehicle mileage, distance, no. of trips, fuel cost, Avg. speed, labor cost etc) and add the charges to your overall order total. You can check the invoice you would have received in your email to know the charges applied.
  • Based on the event date, we prepare and plan our route of the day.
  • We notify through email update about our tentative schedule to drop-off the ordered items. Similarly for pick-up the schedule gets notified through email update.
  • Generally, ordered items are delivered 1 day before the event and picked-up next day of the event.
  • Based on the prior request and arrangement, we may deliver or pick-up the ordered items on the same day before and after the event, respectively.
  • Note that, while booking the order, by default the delivery is curb side delivery which is free.
  • There is separate charges to deliver the ordered items anywhere else than the curb side. Based on what you have opted for, the charges would apply. Please check your invoice to know what delivery service has been selected.
  • There is also separate charges for set-up and tear-down service. Based on what you have opted for, the charges would apply. Please check your invoice to know what delivery service has been selected.
  • For items that have mandatory delivery and installation service, the delivery would be to the place where it needs to be installed.
  • For picking-up the ordered items after the event, in case of default delivery service (curb side delivery service) it is mandatory to keep all the items to the curb side for us to pick-up from the same location where these items were dropped-off. Failure to keep all items ready to pick-up from curb side would incur backyard delivery service fee automatically.

We have a complex algorithm built that uses various factors to calculate the Delivery Charges. Our delivery charges include both dropping-off and picking-up the ordered items. Some of these factors are:

  • Vehicle mileage
  • Distance from Kaboodle
  • Multiple Deliveries
  • Drop-off and Pick-up Trips
  • Fuel cost
  • Avg. speed
  • Labor cost etc.
  • Minimum distance range

Curb-side delivery service means the ordered items would be stacked and placed at your driveway or near your front garage or near your front door or near the backyard door that generally is on the side of a house. Sideyard and backyard do not fall under curb-side delivery service.

In case of an event center, curb-side delivery service means the ordered items would be stacked and placed at the event entrance.

In case of a club house, curb-side delivery service means the ordered items would be stacked and placed at the club house enterance

In case of a park, curb-side delivery service means the ordered items would be stacked and placed at the nearest parking curb.

It is obvious that the place to stack the ordered items need to have complete access and parking available for our vehicle to park and deliver your rental items.
